Principal Flight Icing Specialist
A company is looking for a Principal Fight Icing Specialist to lead research on flight icing prediction capabilities for aircraft and propulsion systems.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical and strategic leadership for a research portfolio addressing aircraft and engine icing hazards
Serve as Principal Investigator for developing enhanced analytic and testing methods for ice prediction
Oversee the development and dissemination of icing analysis tools and models for enterprise use
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Aerodynamics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of research and technical leadership experience in aircraft icing or related disciplines
Fundamental understanding of convective heat and mass transfer and compressible flow physics
Demonstrated experience as a Principal Investigator for large scale research campaigns
Strong background in experimental and analytic methods
