Workstyle: Hybrid schedule - employees work onsite a minimum of four days per week, with one remote day. Five days onsite may be required based on business needs. We're looking for a Senior Java Engineer (Java/Spring) to join our product engineering team and develop and maintain highly available web services. What You'll DoProvide development support for platform services, including deployment-related workBuild and maintain Java 17+; services using Spring Boot 3.xContribute to services hosted on AWS and GCPWork with Postgres and Spanner as part of service development and integrationsHelp design and implement secure, internet-facing APIs and servicesDetermine how applications, legacy systems, databases, web interfaces, and hardware logic integrate to meet new requirementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to determine business requirementsLead projects and assist in scheduling and coordinating project deliverablesProvide senior-level support in configuration, coding, developing, and documenting software specifications throughout the project life cycleProvide technical leadership and mentoring to the team and drive key projectsAs appropriate, liaise with outside vendors to coordinate code development and acceptanceLead in program design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and documentation; instruct, direct, and validate other developers' work; mentor and guide junior team membersWork with developers, testers, and deployment teams to create software deployment/hosting plans What You'll Need:6+; years of recent Java (or JVM language) development; Java 17+; with Spring Boot 3.x experience strongly preferred.AWS experience; GCP experience/knowledge preferred.Database experience: Postgres, Spanner preferred, Oracle and/or Informix preferredExperience designing and implementing secure, internet-facing APIs and web servicesExperience implementing and managing CI/CD (e.g., Bitbucket, Harness, Jenkins)Containerization experience (Kubernetes, ECS) and cloud-based hostingFamiliarity with GraphQL preferredAbility to work in large, complex codebases with multiple integrations and dependenciesStrong understanding of SDLC; excellent analytical/problem-solving and communication skillsSelf-starter who can manage shifting priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively with cross-functional teamsExposure to Dynatrace, Apigee, or Clojure preferredExperience with Agile/Scrum; track record of delivering high-quality features on timeExposure to AI-assisted development tools or AI/ML concepts preferredExperience with Jira or Confluence preferred Compensation & Benefits: The salary range for this role is $96,000.00 - $144,00.00 and is based on experience and qualifications. Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.
