The Intermediate Developer position supports the Government with application development, software engineering, and application architecture functions for POWTEC LLC. The successful candidate will have comprehensive technical expertise to support ongoing development, maintenance, enhancement, and operational services for enterprise systems using the technologies described in this position description.
The position is Non-Exempt (hourly), Full Time (40 hours per week), Monday through Friday. This role supports the Government and requires successfully passing a Background Check and Drug Screening. Candidates must be able to obtain a Level 5 public trust clearance.
Candidates must be local to Reston, VA. This position will work in hybrid capacity but must be able to commute to the office when necessary.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Work at the direction of Lead/Senior Developers
Communicate effectively with other team members and Government Personnel
Collaborate with other developers and Government Personnel to identify and complete tasks effectively and efficiently
Follow development processes, methods, and standards; provide documentation as requested/required
Work within a Government office setting
Provide excellent customer service
Required Skills/Abilities:
Minimum of 3+ years of documented experience in relevant areas
Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Full Stack Development experience with front-end, back-end, and database capabilities
Proficiency in C# (.NET), Angular, and Microsoft SQL Server is preferred
Knowledge of server-side web application development with ASP.NET and similar technologies
Experience in client-side programming with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
Experience with Web Service programming
Knowledge of database programming with .NET Entity Framework, SQL Server, and T-SQL
Strong understanding of relational database concepts; capable of writing stored procedures, creating, and editing tables
Familiarity with version control practices and tools, including Git; must be comfortable checking in code, working in branches, and handling merge conflicts
Familiarity with security practices, including authentication mechanisms such as Windows Authentication, NTLM, Kerberos, Certificates, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
Ability to work in a collaborative environment, adapt to changing requirements, and contribute effectively to a development team
Excellent writing, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Education and Experience:
Minimum 3+ years of documented experience in all areas identified in Required Skills/Abilities
A 4-year degree in computer science or commensurate experience is required
