Shipping Clerk

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our Carson Dellosa warehouse team in Greensboro, NC. Carson Dellosa Education has been bridging school and home with innovative educational solutions for teachers and families for more than 40 years. In this role, you will perform warehouse duties associated with shipping the company’s products in an accurate and timely manner.What You’ll Be DoingFollow the daily schedule set by the production planner - accurately, neatly and efficiently ship customer ordersMaintain “Ready to Ship” and “Orders in Transit” reportsPossess full understanding of Added Value Customer Maintain SOP’s on all customers and routing guidesContact carriers in a timely manner for daily pick-upsFull understanding of International PaperworkWork closely with lead(s) on daily schedule completionKnowledge of all shipping software and BOL completion: Small Package systems (UPS, FEDEX and Mail), BOL Systems, Volume Quotes, Truckload QuotesShipping Clerk must maintain the highest form of safety and awareness while operating the equipmentMust be certified driver (Carson Dellosa provides certification)Remain knowledgeable of E-WMS and ERP systems: inventory part numbers and layout of the warehouse and pick zonesMust maintain daily inspection check off sheet of liftMust maintain weekly watering inspection check off sheetMaintain communication with leads(s) on a daily basisDevelop knowledge of the company's vision and core values, business objectives, and warehouse policies and proceduresAssist in minimizing costs and maximizing efficiencies in assigned area of responsibility.Position may require flexibility to change positions as needed and may require overtime and/or flexible work shiftsMust adhere to work schedule and show good work attendance, ensuring punctuality, prompt return from breaks, and completion of scheduled shift at appropriate timesMaintain a clean and safe work area; observe all established safety practices and procedures; wearing the proper safety equipment, report unsafe acts, conditions, and/or accidents immediatelyWhat We’re Looking ForEquivalent to a high school diploma Up to 1-3 years of related experienceProfessional demeanor and business experienceAbility to deal with people tactfully and effectively Competence in the operation of office and warehouse equipmentGood vision, speaking and writing abilityAbility to sit, stand and operate computers and other company hardware and softwareFrequent light to moderate physical effort required; ability to lift up to 50 poundsManual dexterityAbout IXL LearningIXL Learning is the country's largest EdTech company.
