Process Engineer

A global manufacturer of sustainable industrial packaging solutions is looking to appoint an experienced Process Engineer to support the continued growth and development of its Bay Area operation. This is an opportunity to join a business that partners with many of the world's leading technology, industrial and manufacturing companies, designing and producing bespoke protective packaging solutions that improve efficiency throughout the supply chain. If you enjoy solving manufacturing challenges, improving processes and working closely with production, engineering and customers to deliver practical solutions, this could be an excellent fit. The Role Working as part of the engineering and operations team, you'll be responsible for improving manufacturing processes, supporting new product introductions and driving continuous improvement across the facility. The position combines hands-on manufacturing engineering with project management, process optimisation and customer collaboration. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement and improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity, quality and efficiency. Support the launch of new products from concept through to production. Analyse production data to identify opportunities for waste reduction and process improvement. Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles. Design and improve manufacturing work instructions, process documentation and standard operating procedures. Work closely with production, quality, sales and customers to resolve technical challenges. Assist with tooling, fixtures and equipment improvements. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or production issues. Help optimise plant layout, material flow and manufacturing methods. Ensure engineering activities comply with health, safety and quality standards. What We're Looking For We're interested in speaking with engineers who have experience within manufacturing, ideally producing custom products rather than high-volume commodity items. You'll likely have experience in areas such as: Process Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Production Engineering Requirements Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification preferred. Experience within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and process development. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Comfortable working cross-functionally with production, quality and commercial teams. Strong communication and project management skills.
