Field Service Technician
Job TitleOperates in the field, on-call or provides technical support to assigned customers. Installs, configures, performs problem determination and maintains products and equipment at customer sites, following blueprints and manufacturer's instructions, utilizing product and technical knowledge of equipment. Repairs or coordinates repair of worn or defective products or equipment. Perform skilled, technical work in the design, installation, testing, calibration, maintenance, and repair for assigned product or process.Key ResponsibilitiesProvides expertise related to product implementation and continued serviceKnowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systemsInstall, set-up, and commission MOV's, AOV's, HOV'sProvides technical solutions and design implementations for products and servicesBuilds, tests, troubleshoots, repairs and modifies equipment, parts, components and assembliesEvaluates performance and reliability of materialsDiagnoses and reports malfunctionsLearns and understands particular technical equipment; attends training and completes certification as requiredQualifications:Previous experience in flow control automation applicationsElectrical controls experience a plusPneumatic controls experience a plusApplicable Industrial electrical experience (controls)Applicable Industrial Mechanical experience (rotating equipment)Applicable NCCER certified in multiple areas a plusApplicable TDLR license a plusPhysical DemandsFrequently required to standFrequently required to walkContinually required to sitContinually required to utilize hand and finger dexterityOccasionally balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawlContinually required to talk or hearContinually utilize visual acuity to read technical information and/or use a keyboardOccasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 25 poundsOccasionally work near moving mechanical partsOccasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicalsOccasionally exposure to outside weather conditionsOccasionally loud noise (examples: shop tool noises, electric motors, moving mechanical equipment)Work EnvironmentThis role operates in a field environment.
