Job Title: Student Worker - Fitness Instructor/Trainer(FY26-27)-BCJob Classification: Health and Recreation Services, StudentDepartment: Campus RecreationHiring Manager: Morgan WatsonContact: Morgan_Watson@Baylor.eduWork Schedule: 6-20 hrs per week, Hours May Vary / 5:45AM-10:00PMDesired Length of Employment: Fall/OngoingPay Rate: $10.00 - $15.00Job Description:This position requires employees to instruct or train FitWell Group X classes, including F45, within the FitWell programs and services.Responsibilities include:Plan, develop and provide safe, fun & effective group fitness classes based on recognized guidelinesEnsure the safety, maintenance, and security of the facility and equipmentObserve participants for proper technique, body posture, and movements for safetyProvide appropriate advice and proper resources on routine fitness & wellness questionsWork with others to execute risk reduction measures and provide care in emergency situationsEncourage the Baylor Community to live active and healthy livesAssist in assigned area of responsibility and perform other duties assignedProvide excellent customer service to clients and visitorsParticipate in various activities and tasks related to health and recreationAdhere to and ensure safety procedures and precautions are followedAbility to comply with university policiesMaintain regular and punctual attendanceGeneral qualifications include:Must pass State of Texas criminal background checkExperience teaching/training not required but preferredA nationally recognized group exercise certificate requiredCPR certification within 30 days of employmentDisplay ability to motivate members in classAbility to work as a teamEmployer: Baylor UniversityWork Location: McLane Student Life CenterWork Address: 209 Speight Ave, Waco TX
