Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Kernel role based in the San Diego Metropolitan Area. The Kernel team member will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining kernel-level code to support Veea's smart edge solutions. Key responsibilities include developing efficient system-level software, optimizing performance, debugging issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to build innovative features and ensure system-level stability. The role also involves analyzing and mitigating security vulnerabilities and accompanying compliance requirements. Qualifications Experience in Linux kernel development, including designing and optimizing kernel modulesExpertise in system-level programming using C and C++, as well as low-level debugging toolsLinux internals, middleware, drivers, docker, Kubernetes, porting linux to hardware.Familiarity with edge computing, IoT, or distributed systems architecturesKnowledge of networking protocols, hardware architecture, and security best practicesStrong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate effectively within diverse teamsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical fieldExperience with virtualization technologies, real-time operating systems, or microservices is a plusUnderstanding of AI/ML or data analytics frameworks is beneficial
