Surgical Services Aide - Surgical Services - Full Time/Days - Req# 2117944114

Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services, Surgical Services manager, and/or the Registered Charge Nurses. A Surgical Services Aide must be able to competently perform departmental tasks as well as various supportive services. Tasks and care provided will be guided by the policies and procedures of the hospital and performed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Observes patients, recognize symptoms, and communicate patient status requiring the attention of a registered nurse. Transports patients to and from the Surgical Services department. Uses standard precautions. Transports specimens. Cleans instruments and equipment per manufacturer recommendations. Assists with clerical duties. Orders and stocks supply, linens and solutions to the appropriate areas in the Surgical Services department and operating room suites.
