Welder 3G Flogistix Advanced Rebuild Center (ARC) - Pampa, TX 79065 Description Fabricate, repair, and assemble compressor packages in accordance with Flogistix specifications and standards. Primary duties involve welding but also include operating fabrication equipment to include but not limited to welding machines, grinders, saws, drills, power tools, and hand tools. Works integrally with other employees and independently. Principal Duties:Must be able to use measuring devices and tools to include but not limited to tape measures, squares and levels. Must be able to operate lifting devices (overhead crane) for moving parts. Must be able to follow instructions given by the supervisor. Must be punctual and possess a strong work ethic. Demonstrated ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction: take responsibility for own actions, keep commitments and complete tasks on time. Will be required to work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency. Will be required to keep the shop and work area clean by performing daily housekeeping duties. Will be required to inspect and care for tools and work areas. Requirements:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Have 1 or more years' experience in welding. Must be able to wire weld using the following welding processes: GMAW and FCAW. Must pass a 2G welding test. Experience welding pipe in 1G rollout position is a plus Basic use of oxy/acetylene torch equipment. Weld components and parts in accordance with Flogistix welding procedure. Must understand how to interpret and use blueprints, welding specifications and Flogistix's welding procedure. Plan Layout, fabricate and tack-weld components and parts to secure in position for welding. Must be able to make repair welds using fabrication equipment to include but not limited to grinders, cutting drills, or other power tools. Assemble Bolts and torque studs in accordance with Flogistix torque procedure. Understand and perform Hydro testing. This is a'safety sensitive' position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; automated equipment, airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and moving fork trucks. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, hearing protection is required in designated areas where signage indicates it is mandatory.
