Clearfork Academy collaborates with families, healthcare professionals, and community leaders to support teens on their journey to recovery and personal growth.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Fort Worth, TX. The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing daily operations to ensure the delivery of exceptional care and client satisfaction. Key responsibilities include managing operational processes, overseeing team performance, coordinating budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Director will work collaboratively with staff, stakeholders, and partners to optimize operational efficiency while fostering a supportive and aligned workplace culture.SUMMARY The Director of Operations at CLEARFORK ACADEMY is responsible for planning, leading, directing, developing, and coordinating the policies and activities of the organization and implementation of the organization’s operational strategy throughout all facilities. Additional responsibilities include applying Clearfork Academy’s core processes to all aspects of the operational environment; including clinical, residential, and facility operations. The Director of Operations will be responsible for directing actions across the organization and direct managers to improve efficiency and reduce costs as needed. Coaches, teaches, develops, and mentors staff members and leaders across the organization to achieve operational success based on corporate strategies.  Safeguards and augments the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success through training, implementation, and oversight of various activities.Population Served:  Person’s meeting DSM 5 criteria for substance use disorders with or without co-occurring psychiatric illness.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborates with Executive and Leadership Team to understand the organization’s goals and strategies related to operational activities and is responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of such strategies.Oversee all operational aspects of the therapeutic environment; including facility operations, client programming operations, medical operations, housing strategies and maintenance, and staffing strategies.Analyzes, develops, and executes corporate strategies designed to increase client experience and operational readiness of multiple facilities. Advises clinical, residential, and medical team on operational strategies and ensures implementation and oversight throughout.Teaches, coaches, develops, and mentors subordinates on leadership strategies and implementation.Works with the Executive Team to analyze and develop strategies focused on facility management, repairs and upkeep, and utilization of all organizational assets including buildings, vehicles, and collateral. Creates and executes strategies to control maintenance costs and drive operational efficiency.Ensures synergies among people, processes, and strategies to drive execution of business objectives. Serves as project manager for various activities.Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes internal and external. Provides timely, accurate, and complete reports on the operating conditions of the company.Manage and supervise Kitchen, and Maintenance leaders. This includes, but is not limited to, training, hiring, terminating, 90-day and annual reviews, and performance improvement plans.Collaborates in the planning, design, development, testing and implementation of new technology or enhancements to existing technology.Works with the Executive Team to coordinate and implement environment of care and safety procedures, ensuring relevant key safety indicators are met and operational goals are achieved.Promotes a culture of continuous improvement through rigorous root cause analysis, improvement initiatives for the milieu, and the application of strategic tools and techniques.Performs other duties and tasks assigned.AGE SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES (ADOLESCENT AND YOUNG ADULT MALES/FEMALES) Allows patients to maintain control; involves patient in decision-making and planning of care, as appropriate to condition and situation.Encourages participation in care.Identifies trauma, abuse/neglect, or exploitation a client may have experienced.Encourage family support.Recognizes/respects concerns over interruption of work/plans/separation from family, etc.Recognizes fears regarding potential lifestyle changes.Encourages verbalization of fears and anxiety; maintains age-appropriate communication.MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation, Training, and Experience Required:5 to 10 years' work experience in a leadership role directing an operational environment.Healthcare industry experience preferred.A thorough understanding of practices, theories, and policies involved in strategic operations.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESKnowledge of industry standards: operational support, and strategic planning.Knowledge of legal and ethical issues related to patients’ rights.Professional readiness: Issues related to self-awareness, diversity, ethics, and continuing educationKnowledge of PC and Mac software programs, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, is required.Written and oral communication skills; must be able to concentrate on work amid distractions such as noise, conversations, and foot trafficMust maintain self-control in volatile or hostile situations such as when verbally or physically confronted in an aggressive mannerMust be able to work independently with little direct supervision in an unstructured environment with multiple demandsReading and writing levels that can clearly express or understand complex concepts, assessments, directions and processes or sequences of events - equivalent to at least two years of college.Ability to represent the program well in interactions both inside and outside the facilityDemonstrates an understanding of the developmental milestones of adolescents and young adults.PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
