Events and Social Media Lead Volunteer

Neighborhood Survants is non-profit based in Altadena. We aim to surve by empowering our youth and community through outreach, workshops, resource fairs, and disaster relief.We are currently looking for a volunteer that will help us to coordinate and execute events along with promotion on social media. It is a role that is directly serving our fire-impacted communities and the neighborhood as a whole. The role will be fully hands on and this volunteer will be presented with opportunities to take leadership roles in event planning. It will also bring exposure to the non-profit side of social media. We are definitely open to those new to the event planning and social media field.Responsibilities:10 hour per week availability for planningCoordinate with Neighborhood Survants staff for eventsDesigning posters for eventsCreating and posting on various social media sitesTracking expenses for eventsManaging volunteers and assigning rolesQualifications:Must be over 17.An understanding of social media (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook)Proficiency in Microsoft and Google OfficeA general understanding of Canva or Photoshop Design
