Controls Technician

Core Responsibilities Utilize diverse technical proficiencies—including electrical, mechanical, welding, machining, and pipe fitting—to support the installation, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of facility infrastructure and production systems. Ensure optimal performance of complex industrial systems, such as boilers, chillers, furnaces, pumps, and extruders, by performing expert-level troubleshooting and repairs. Execute the installation of new production assets and facilitate equipment relocations to optimize floor layouts. Manage the end-to-end process of rigging, positioning, aligning, and connecting machinery to ensure equipment is fully operational. Conduct comprehensive preventative maintenance, including the systematic dismantling, calibration, and reassembly of critical components to extend equipment lifespan. Required Qualifications and Skills Possess a deep understanding of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, hydraulic, and electronic theory. Prior experience working within an industrial fluid application environment is highly desirable. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, technical proficiency with computers, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with high precision. Maintain the physical stamina required to perform tasks involving prolonged standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Demonstrate the physical capability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting of 25 pounds and regular lifting of 10 pounds. Supply your own personal set of hand tools and a secure storage box. Hold a current Forklift Operator certification or successfully complete the necessary training program. Possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Hold relevant certifications in fields such as electronics, HVAC, machining, or mechanical theory. Bring at least 3 to 5 years of journeyman-level experience in industrial maintenance, covering mechanical, electrical, and fabrication tasks to keep production systems running smoothly.
