American Traveler is seeking a travel Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.Job Description & RequirementsSpecialty: Radiology TechnologistDiscipline: Allied Health ProfessionalStart Date: 04/13/2026Duration: 13 weeks40 hours per weekShift: 8 hours, nightsEmployment Type: TravelAssignment OverviewShift: Nights, 5x8hrsHours: 40 hrs/wkStart Date: Apr 13, 2026Length: 13 weeksOpenings: 1DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist at a Level III Trauma Center in Milwaukee, WI, requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute or surgical experience and strong proficiency in surgical, fluoroscopy, and procedural imaging.DetailsWork in a large 636-bed Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with Magnet Designation and a Level III NICURadiology department includes 5 diagnostic rooms, 2 fluoro rooms, 1 video swallow room, 2 clinic diagnostic rooms, 3 pain clinic rooms, and 1 dental roomPatient population includes inpatient, outpatient, ED, and procedural cases across all age ranges with occasional pediatric patientsAverage caseload of 15–20 patients per tech per dayFluoroscopy procedures include ERCPs, bronchoscopies, pain clinic procedures, and urology casesOR cases include orthopedic, general, and spine procedures; comfort with O-arm preferredAdditional responsibilities include general radiography and portable imagingEMR: Epic (experience required)Imaging equipment includes GE, Fuji, and Del Medical X-ray systems; GE 9900 and Elite C-arms; Medtronic O-arms; McKesson PACS8-hour night shifts, Monday–Friday (third shift)Start times flex 1–1.5 hours depending on staffing needsEvery other weekend rotation; weekends are defined as Friday night and Saturday nightOne on-call shift per week; call windows are 6:30 AM–2:00 PM, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, and 10:30 PM–6:30 AMOne holiday required per 13-week contractRequirementsMinimum 2 years of acute care or surgical radiology experienceARRT certification requiredActive WI Radiology license required (license required if applicable)Current BLS certification requiredProficiency in surgical/procedural imaging, general radiography, and portable X-rayExperience with fluoroscopy procedures including ERCPs, bronchoscopies, and urology casesExperience with OR imaging including orthopedic, general, and spine cases; O-arm experience preferredMid-to-high level hospital experience requiredEpic EMR experience requiredMinimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RNLast 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for considerationAdditional InformationFast-paced unit with high-acuity patientsDepartment is staffed with 14 techs on days, 7 on second shift, and 3 on third shiftLead tech present on first shift; radiologist, RT, hospitalist, and intensivist available on-site 24/7Orientation includes facility NEO followed by 7 days of department-specific trainingSchedule includes one day off the week leading into a work weekend and one day off the following weekRTO requests must be approved by the facility managerSurgery scrubs provided on-siteFree parking available on-siteFirst-time travelers may be considered depending on skill level, with a strong preference for candidates with highly competent surgery and procedure experienceAmerican Traveler Job ID #P-682881.
