This job offers a chance to step back from the hustle and bustle of mainland life. There are currently five students in grades K – 4 on the island and one teacher. The board will assist the final candidate in finding affordable housing, so that should not be a barrier. There may be an opportunity to pick up odd jobs and summer work if desired to supplement income. The school offers a high quality, personalized education and we highly value our sense of place on a remote island in Maine where artists, hikers, birders, and fishermen have flocked to for centuries.We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, enthusiastic professional who loves children and enjoys working collaboratively with teachers to support student learning. The position may also include light clerical responsibilities to assist the teacher.
