Electrical Panel Builder

Compensation and Hours Compensation is set between $23 and $28 hourly, determined by your professional background. You will work a standard first-shift schedule, operating Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Role Summary Our expanding manufacturing department is looking for skilled Wiring Technicians and Electrical Panel Builders. You will handle tasks including control-panel construction, point-to-point electrical wiring, cable routing, crimping, wire labeling, and thorough quality testing. We are currently filling two specific roles: one dedicated to relay-panel wiring and another focused on wiring large-scale equipment assemblies. Core Duties Interpret and utilize electrical schematics and point-to-point wiring diagrams. Construct and wire specialized electrical control panels from the ground up. Execute point-to-point wiring tasks to help ensure large industrial machinery functions reliably. Prepare electrical wires by cutting, stripping, terminating, crimping, and labeling them. Organize and route multi-conductor cables and wires with precision. Place wiring into conduit, cable trays, and relay panels. Verify that all wiring connections and placements meet high workmanship standards. Energize control panels to perform necessary troubleshooting. Utilize multimeters and specialized testing tools to conduct quality assessments. Help maintain accurate production records by completing all required quality checklists. Detect and rectify any assembly or wiring mistakes. Contribute to a safe and tidy environment by organizing your workspace. Provide regular updates on production and project progress to leadership. Collaborate with project management, quality, and production staff to ensure timely project completion. Required Qualifications Proven background in industrial wiring or electrical panel construction. Five or more years of experience with custom control panels is highly desirable. Proficiency in panel-wiring and point-to-point electrical techniques. Ability to analyze and apply IEC and JIC electrical diagrams. Understanding of troubleshooting methods and fundamental electrical theory. Experience operating dielectric testing tools and multimeters is a plus. Commitment to maintaining high quality and meticulous attention to detail. Fundamental computer literacy and Microsoft Office proficiency. Reliable professional with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Possession of a current driver’s license. Ability to adhere to drug-free workplace policies.
