San Diego Delivery Driver - Bottle Logic Brewing
Bottle Logic Brewing is hiring a full-time Delivery Driver for the San Diego county area to join our growing team! The position is not limited to deliveries; we maintain and troubleshoot beer dispensing systems at our on-premise accounts, utilize the fleet as pouring stations at festivals, retrieve cooperage and represent the brand at out-of-town events.The hourly base pay range for this position is between $22-26 per hour, depending on skills and experience.Your Role Will Include, But Not Be Limited ToLoading of company-provided fleet cargo vans, ensuring that both the vehicle and the products are safe throughout the processWe may occasionally operate non-DOT box trucks for special events; experience with these is definitely a plus Safely operate company delivery vehicle in accordance with local, state, and federal laws; reporting any vehicle warning lights or maintenance reminders to the Fleet & Logistics Manager at EOD At the direction of the Fleet & Logistics Manager, take the vehicle to designated facilities for serviceBuild and wrap pallets for local delivery, disassembling these pallets on the road while keeping everything safe while out on the road.Safely operate material handling equipment (manual and powered pallet jacks, hand trucks, forklifts, walkie (straddle) stackers, and any other equipment deemed necessary to complete daily tasks) throughout all warehouse spacesKnowledge of draft beer systems including but not limited to long-draw, short-draw, jockey box, and vehicle-mounted systemsWe will teach you how to clean and troubleshoot draft systems out in the field, but a good foundation to build on is keyAccurately keep records of the following: invoices, cash/checks/money orders collected, keg and tap handle deposits/returns, vehicle inventoriesProjecting a world-class image for the brewery and the products you deliverWarehouse work: Inventory, cleaning, organizing, material handling, loading/unloading deliveries, and labeling palletsConduct weekly Finished Goods inventories and reporting discrepancies to the Fleet & Logistics ManagerMaintain cleanliness and organization in all vehicle, warehouse, and cold box spacesSafely operate material handling equipment (pallet jack, straddle stacker, forklift) throughout the warehousePerforming all functions according to Bottle Logic procedures and policiesAny other duties delegated to by a managerReporting all of the above to our Fleet Commander and General ManagerCandidates Must Possess25+ Years of age (due to insurance limitations)1-2 years of experience driving large cargo vans or straight/bobtail type vehiclesDelivery experience preferred, but not necessaryMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug testClean driving record, both in personal and prior company vehiclesAbsolutely no DUI convictions on driving recordMust be able to load, lift, and unload cases (approximately 30 pounds each) & kegs (up to 165 pounds each) and maneuver a hand truck (up to 400 pounds) at the brewery and in the fieldHave the ability to twist, turn, crouch, climb, squat, and/or stoop repeatedly throughout the dayIndustry-leading customer service skills both at accounts and during events/festivalsAbility to complete tasks with minimal supervision at the warehouse, the brewery, and while in the fieldExcellent communication, time management, troubleshooting, and organizational skillsStrong overall understanding of safety procedures, regulations, and requirementsAbility to communicate clearly and concisely with respect to all Bottle Logic’s personnel at all levels, in addition to customers and suppliersFamiliarity with using a computer and Android phoneBasic math skills to adjust invoices in the fieldKnowledge of beer dispensing systemsExtreme attention to detailAbility to multitask effectivelyCommitment to quality and hard workA passion for high-quality craft beer
