Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. This position focuses on providing exceptional instruction and support to children from early childhood through 12th grade for the 2026-2027 school year. Engage with a diverse student population throughout a district, nurturing both academic and social growth in a collaborative, inclusive environment.Key Qualifications:Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of HearingExperience teaching students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing, preferably in both mainstream and specialized settingsProficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and/or spoken language facilitationFamiliarity with assistive technology for accessibilityStrong skills in developing and tracking IEP goalsAbility to work across all grade levels (EC-12) and adapt curriculum to meet individual needsCommitment to advocating for student access and inclusionPrimary Responsibilities:Deliver specialized instruction and adapt curriculum for students who are Deaf/Hard of HearingFacilitate classroom communication through sign language or spoken language as appropriateManage and implement assistive technology to promote student learning and independenceServe as an advocate for accessibility and inclusion within various school environmentsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support IEP development, progress monitoring, and family communicationTravel between multiple district locations as part of a district-wide caseloadThis assignment runs from August 11, 2026, through May 19, 2027, offering the chance to make a substantial difference in students' educational experiences.
