Project Manager (Energy/Solar)
The Project Manager will lead electrical construction projects within utility‑scale energy markets, including solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), microgrids, substations, and other large‑scale power infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for overseeing projects from pre‑construction through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget objectives are met while coordinating closely with field teams, engineers, subcontractors, and clients.Key ResponsibilitiesManage electrical construction projects from kickoff through commissioning and closeoutDevelop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and work plansCoordinate with field supervision, engineering, estimating, and procurement teamsOversee subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveriesManage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and contract documentationTrack project costs and support financial reporting and forecastingServe as the primary point of contact for clients, utilities, and project stakeholdersEnsure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and safety standardsIdentify project risks and implement mitigation strategiesSupport a strong safety culture across all project activitiesTypical Project TypesUtility‑scale solar PV installationsBattery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)Microgrids and distributed energy systemsSubstations and high‑voltage electrical infrastructureOther large‑scale energy or power projectsQualifications5+ years of project management experience in electrical construction or power/energy projectsExperience working for an electrical contractor or subcontractor strongly preferredExposure to utility‑scale energy, renewable power, or heavy electrical infrastructureStrong understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and contract administrationAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings and specificationsProficiency with project management and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore, or similar)Strong communication, organization, and leadership skillsEducation & CertificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not requiredPMP certification preferred but not required
