Business Development Coordinator
The Business Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day business development operations of the Client Services department. This role offers support to attorneys and the Client Services team across prospecting, competitive intelligence, pitch preparation, partnership management, event coordination, CRM administration, scheduling, and website and data collection.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Generates competitive intelligence research using all available platforms (LinkedIn, PitchBook, IP Pilot, Lex Machina, etc.) to build a full picture of a prospective opportunity.Synthesizes multi-source research into tailored email reports for lead attorneys, highlighting key findings relevant to the opportunity.Supports and assists with firmwide and attorney-level prospecting efforts, including identifying, generating, and managing target lists of current and prospective clients across key industries.Supports management of partnerships with startups and early-stage company organizations and accelerators with guidance and direction from management.Serves as liaison, with members of team, between organization representatives and attorneys to plan and coordinate joint engagements, including webinars, office hours, in-person workshops, dinners, and other eventsMaintains and updates marketing/pitch materials, firm website, and PowerPoint presentations; coordinate tailored material preparation for meetings and pitch opportunities.Maintains and updates the firm’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, including logging new business conflict checks, maintaining sponsorship records, and creating and updating contact records based on ongoing business development activity, and tracking key firm metrics.Generates reports on pitch activity, business development activity, and contact data; perform regular data hygiene including record accuracy checks.Arranges and coordinates internal and external meetings pertaining to the Client Services department and business development initiatives.Assists and coordinates event logistics and execution, including driving internal communication with attorneys around events and engagements.Attends internal firm meetings, take notes, track and follow up on decisions and actions that emerge.Manages expenses, scheduling, vendor relationships, and other operational logistics.Manages the distribution of client gifts as needed.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years of experience supporting marketing or business development in professional services setting or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to take initiative, follow through on requests until completion and utilize a keen attention to detail.Capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects and adapt quickly to changing requests.Capable of being decisive while demonstrating good judgment and business acumen.Demonstrated ability to work well in team environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Comfortable representing the firm in networking environments, including industry events, firm-hosted client engagements, and partnership activities.Strong work ethic and high energy level, with ability to be both flexible and adaptable due to workload peaks and extended workday hours.Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) CRMs (HubSpot), databases, and business intelligence/knowledge management tools (PitchBook, IP Pilot, Lex Machina, Docket Navigator).Comfort working with all levels of firm management, attorneys, staff, and vendors in a professional capacity.Wolf Greenfield offers a comprehensive benefit package focused on the overall well-being of firm employees.
