Role Description This is a full-time on-site position for a Special Education Teacher located in Richmond, ME. The Special Education Teacher will develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities, adapt lesson plans to meet diverse learning needs, and foster a supportive learning environment. The role includes collaborating with parents, teachers, and support staff to help students achieve their full potential. Additionally, the teacher will monitor student progress, provide regular feedback, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Qualifications Expertise in Special Education and working with students with DisabilitiesExperience in Teaching, particularly at the Middle School levelStrong Communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleaguesA bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; a master’s degree is preferredState certification or eligibility for certification as a Special Education TeacherCommitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environmentProven ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)Problem-solving skills and adaptability in meeting unique student needs
