Communication / News content editor Intern (Summer 2026)

Position Overview.Pleasanton RAGE are seeking passionate and creative individuals to join our Communications team for the 2026 USL season. Positions are less than 20 hours per week but will depend on the number of hours needed to complete College course credit. Work schedules will be set at the beginning of the internship. Interns are voluntary and unpaid.The Communications Intern will work in coordination with the USL W League Head Coach to tell the stories of the team's players, coaching and support staff, front office members, fan base, and community and corporate partners via the creation of engaging written and multimedia content.Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to:Game preview and recap articlesWritten feature stories of varying lengths for team's official websiteLive updates of matches via the team's official @Pleasantonrage Twitter accountCreation and execution of social media and email marketing campaignsCreation of graphics to support written contentQualifications and Requirements include, but are not limited to:Previous experience producing published written content (examples include work for local newspapers, student media outlets, blogs, or other online avenues)Must have laptop capable of processing design programsAbility to withhold confidential informationAbility to maintain a high level of professionalism within media work zonesFlexibility to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends as assignedMust have own mode of transportation to get to and from training facility, events and gamesAbility to stand and/or sit for extended periods of timeExperience in Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and Teams) is a plusBilingual capabilities a plusWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.Job Questions:Are you available to start May 1, 2026?Do you have your own transport?How did you hear about our internship program?
