Dietary Cook/Aide
Responsibilities of a Long-Term Care Dietary Cook:
Meal Preparation: Cooks a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, following planned menus.
Dietary Needs: Adapts recipes and prepares meals for residents with special diets, such as diabetic or low-sodium diets.
Food Safety: Follows food safety guidelines and regulations, including proper storage, handling, and cooking techniques.
Sanitation: Maintains a clean and organized kitchen, following sanitation protocols.
Menu Planning: May assist with menu planning and suggest new recipes.
Quality Assurance: Ensures that food is palatable and presented attractively.
Serving: May serve food in the dining area or deliver meals to residents' rooms.
Communication: Works with healthcare staff to ensure residents receive appropriate nutrition.
