Middle School Language Arts - English Teacher

Middle School English/Language Arts Teacher Position available for 2026-27 school year. Qualifications include: possessing or qualifying for a Virginia Professional License to teach middle grades English Language Arts, knowledge and skills to provide instruction aligned with VA Standards of Learning, expertise in assessing student progress and differentiating instructional practice, enthusiasm for teaching and coaching students in all areas of development, and professional and personal characteristics necessary for effective interactions with students, colleagues, parents, and community. Preferred: middle school teaching experience and license or interest in other curricular areas.Job duties include facilitating student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum, documenting teaching and student progress, addressing specific educational needs of individual students, creating a flexible, safe, and optimal learning environment, and providing feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, and goals.
