Driver/Material HandlerDepartment: Distribution Center OperationsEmployment Type: Full TimeLocation: Columbus, OHReporting To: Stan HawbakerDescriptionThe driver loads and unloads delivery vehicle at the distribution center and at the delivery site within a designated territory.The physical environment requires the employee to work in a non -climate controlled warehouse environment.Will be required to work at heights of 50 feet or more.1+years of warehouse and/or delivery driving experienceKey ResponsibilitiesLoads and unloads truck in accordance with DOT Load Securement requirementsMaintains daily truck inspection and daily trip reports as required by USDOTOperates vehicles in compliance with all DOT and Reliable safety requirementsOperates forklift, lift truck, side loaders, pallet trucks, picker and other loading/stacking equipmentCompletes and maintains daily forklift inspection reportsPerforms pre- and post - trip inspections andlogsChecks tires when loading and unloading trucksAssists will-call customers in a courteous and helpful mannerReports any deficiencies in inventory, equipment, safety issues, or concerns to the warehouse supervisorReports back orders to Customer Service DepartmentActs as backup and/or fill-in Material Handler as neededPromote a safe workplace by performing all tasks in a safe and thoughtful manner in compliance with all rules, procedures, instructions, devices, equipment and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.
