Corporate Associate - Franchise Experience

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to advance their career in a challenging and rewarding environment.Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert legal advice and support on matters related to corporate law, business law, franchise law, and mergers & acquisitions.- Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents including franchise agreements, purchase agreements, merger documentation, and corporate governance materials.- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to advise clients on compliance with federal and state franchise regulations.- Assist in the structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.- Collaborate with clients to develop and implement strategies for franchise growth and expansion.- Advise clients on risk management and legal implications related to franchising and corporate transactions.- Represent clients in legal proceedings, mediations, and negotiations as necessary.- Stay informed about industry trends, legal developments, and regulatory changes affecting franchising and corporate law.Qualifications:- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.- Admission to the Illinois Bar and in good standing.- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate law, business law, franchise law, and mergers & acquisitions.- Demonstrated expertise in franchise law and familiarity with franchise disclosure documents and regulations.- Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Skills:- Experience in a law firm setting or corporate legal department.- Knowledge of international franchise law and cross-border transactions.- Ability to speak and write in a second language is a plus.Benefits:- Competitive salary and benefits package.- Opportunities for professional development and career advancement.- Collaborative work environment with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
