Sales Director

Sales Director, Manufacturing and T&L, Data Capture (North America)ROLE MISSION:The position ensures the achievement of individual and team targets, the development of long-term customer relationships, and the expansion of Datalogic's market share of Handheld scanning and Mobile Computing products within the Manufacturing and T&L sectors. In addition, the role oversees sales planning, budgeting, recruitment, and reporting within the assigned geography.The role will be reporting to North America Sales Vice President.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Define and execute the regional and industry sales strategy in alignment with global business objectivesLead and coordinate the sales organization in North America to achieve annual revenue and growth targetsDevelop sales team capabilities through performance management, talent development, and succession planningMonitor sales performance, pipeline quality, and forecast accuracy; identify risks and define corrective actionsManage and negotiate with strategic and enterprise customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and long-term value creationOwn account strategies within the assigned region and collaborate closely with internal Business Units on key opportunitiesEstablish and maintain executive-level relationships with top customers, developing a deep understanding of their processes and business modelsAdapt global sales initiatives to local market requirements and competitive dynamicsPrepare and contribute to quarterly and annual business reviews in collaboration with Regional and Global Sales leadershipQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTSEducation (School/Specialization) Bachelor's degree in business/marketing, economics, engineering or related disciplinePrimary Language Fluent EnglishExperience • Minimum of 8+ years of sales experience, including leadership of account managers within the Manufacturing and/or Transportation & Logistics industries in North America• Proven track record in selling AIDC devices and solutions to end customers or OEMs (handheld scanning and mobile computing products)• Strong experience with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred)• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, combined with a results-oriented and collaborative approach• The ideal candidate brings a strong industry network, consultative selling expertise, and the ability to translate company offerings into compelling, client-specific value propositions• Experience collaborating with executive level, manufacturing engineering, plant operations, and R&D stakeholders in large complex projectsTravel • This position is home based and requires travel approximately 50%+ of the timeAbout the CompanyCOMPANY BACKGROUNDDatalogic is a global technology leader in the automatic data capture and factory automation markets, specialized in the designing and production of barcode readers, mobile computers, sensors for detection, measurement and safety, RFID, vision and laser marking systems.Datalogic can boast over 50 years of history, during which it has achieved unique results: approximately 1.200 patents in multiple jurisdictions; 11 research centers and development (in Italy, USA, China and Vietnam); thousands of prestigious partners and customers deployed over five continents.
