The RigCLOUD Technician I plays a critical role in the preparation, installation, and ongoing support of Nabors Drilling Solutions' RigCLOUD real-time drilling data acquisition and analytics platform. This position is field-based, serving as the primary on-site contact for contractors, operators, and internal teams during deployments.As a RigCLOUD Technician I, you will support system installations, perform hardware and software configuration, troubleshoot technical issues, and assist in customer training at the rig site. This role also includes ensuring proper data flow, conducting field surveys for system requirements, and maintaining accurate records of equipment usage and service activities.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS2+ years of oilfield experience, preferably in drilling systems, electronics, or IT-related roles.Basic understanding of drilling operations and field service environments.Experience with computer hardware, software, and basic networking.Familiarity with Windows-based systems and applications.Valid driver's license and ability to travels extensively to rig sitesPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPrior experience with drilling instrumentation or data acquisition systems.Formal training in electronics, instrumentation, or IT hardware/software.Basic knowledge of real-time drilling data and analytics platforms.ESSENTIAL SKILLS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONSFrequent walking or standing for extended periods.Bending, stooping, and climbing ladders or rig stairs.Lifting up to 50 lbs.Use of hand tools and testing equipment.Working in varying weather conditions and remote locations.Operating a vehicle for travel to customer sites.Install and configure RigCLOUD hardware and software at drilling sites, ensuring all system components are operational and data is transmitting correctly.Conduct rig site surveys to determine hardware configuration needs prior to installation.Wire, assemble, and test data acquisition systems prior to deployment.Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues in the field, escalating as necessary to higher-level technical support.Maintain field inventory and ensure proper tracking, storage, and handling of RigCLOUD equipment.Provide operational support to customers on-site, assisting with system use and basic troubleshooting.Serve as the on-site liaison between customers, drilling crews, and the RigCLOUD support team.Document service activities, equipment installations, and any issues encountered.Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies while working on rigs and at customer sites.Support marketing of RigCLOUD solutions to other operators and rigs within the assigned region when opportunities arise.
