Senior Mechanical Engineer

*Job Description* Design & Assembly Concepts (DAC) is one of the largest custom automation and robotic solutions providers in the Austin area. Our solutions utilize state of the art technologies such as Fanuc Robotics, Cognex Vision, Allen Bradley controls, etc. We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer who can work with our customers to develop a concept solution for their application, estimate and create project proposal, and then take the project from concept through completion. This position will mentor Junior Engineers and Designers in a work environment that is based on teamwork and professional development. Job Responsibilities * Customer site visits with Sales to identify project scope and constraints * Generate customer solution concepts and work with sales on project proposals * Perform design reviews * Design of automation/robotic systems * Prioritize design tasks with engineers and designers * Qualifications and Skills * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar engineering discipline * 10+ years machine/automation/robotics experience * 4+ Experience managing automation projects * Strong knowledge of SolidWorks * Understanding of controls systems Job Type: Full-time Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off Ability to Relocate: * Leander, TX 78641: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
