Dispatcher

Description: Primary responsibility is the coordination of all deliveries. Responsible to work with salespeople, customers, yard manager and drivers to insure the timely, accurate delivery of materials to jobsites. Responsibilities Maintain control and accuracy over all deliveries of materials leaving the yard for delivery. Coordinate and assign loads to pullers Communicate directly with salespeople, customers, and end product users to properly schedule deliveries to meet customer’s needs. Communicate and coordinate truck maintenance issues/needs with Yard Manager. Perform receiving documentation for incoming merchandise. Make every effort to meet customers’ expectations for timely deliveries. Work with the Yard Manager to insure that we maximize the deliveries we can make on any given day. Manage the dispatch log including assigning delivery times, drivers, loads on specific trucks and track the time taken on deliveries within BisTrack Attend training sessions to learn and keep current on products we sell. Educate employees and customers on products we sell. Effectively handle customer complaints and warranty issues. Learn company products, procedures, culture, and customer service philosophy. Perform additional directly related appropriate duties as assigned. Requirements: Education & Experience Desire to learn and grow professionally. Ability to lead and teach employees. Ability to react quickly to problems and respond to them accurately and professionally. High School diploma required. High level of self-motivation. High level of self-confidence and positive attitude. Strong verbal skills. Strong organizational skills. Work Environment Work is performed in the yard and an office environment.
