Job DescriptionSenior SQL Server DBA / Database EngineerHTC Global Services is seeking a Senior SQL Server DBA / Database Engineer to support critical database environments that power case management, reporting, and enterprise operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on experience in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, data integrity, security, and reporting/data warehouse support.You will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing complex SQL Server environments, improving performance across large and highly transactional data sets, supporting data quality initiatives, and helping strengthen automation, security, and operational reliability. This is an excellent opportunity for a database professional who enjoys solving complex performance and data challenges in a mission-critical environment.What You’ll Do Administer and maintain SQL Server 2016+ environments across multiple judicial and enterprise databases Manage authentication models, contained users, and database-level security Configure and monitor SQL Agent jobs, maintenance plans, backups, restores, and disaster recovery processes Support high availability configurations such as Always On Availability Groups and clustering where applicable Optimize performance across large-scale and highly transactional workloads, including:stored procedures dynamic SQL cross-database queries CTE-heavy workloads index fragmentation and statistics Reduce blocking, deadlocks, and long-running transactions Review and optimize ETL loops and backend reporting workloads across multiple databases Support referential integrity, foreign key reconciliation, identity reseeding, and legacy data remediation Assist with statewide or enterprise data standardization efforts across shared data domains Optimize fact/dimension loading processes and support backend tuning for Power BI and other reporting tools Assist with indexed views, aggregation tables, and incremental load strategies Collaborate on data quality validation routines and governance support Harden SQL Server instances against unauthorized access and support audit/security requirements Monitor audit logs and security events and help support compliance with judicial confidentiality and CJIS-related requirements where applicable Create reusable scripts for administrative automation, schema changes, stored procedure deployments, data migration scripts, security audits, password rotation, and cross-environment validation Support version control integration and DevOps-related deployment practices Required Qualifications7+ years of experience with SQL Database Administration & Operations 3+ years of experience with Performance Tuning & Optimization 3+ years of experience with Data Integrity & Governance Support 3+ years of experience with Data Warehouse Architecture & Reporting Support 3+ years of experience with Security & Compliance 3+ years of experience with Automation & DevOps Support Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server 2016+ Preferred QualificationsExperience in judicial, government, or public sector environments Experience supporting Power BI backend optimization Familiarity with .NET application data access patterns Experience with Always On Availability Groups Experience with Azure DevOps Experience cleaning and standardizing legacy data structures across multiple counties, jurisdictions, or enterprise environments Familiarity with security tools such as Imperva or similar appliances Why This Role Stands OutOpportunity to support and optimize mission-critical SQL Server environments Highly visible role with impact across operations, reporting, compliance, and data quality Strong mix of database administration, performance tuning, security, and backend analytics support Hands-on work in a complex multi-environment setting where reliability and integrity matter Chance to contribute to modernization, automation, and long-term platform stability What Makes HTC A Great Place To Build Your FutureHTC Global Services wants you to join our team.
