Lab Supervisor (Bilingual Mandarin)

Worksource Oregon is partnering with a global leader in Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS), Proteomics, and Metabolomics services to fill a bilingual Mandarin Lab Supervisor position for their Beaverton, Oregon location.JOB DUTIES- Team Leadership: Supervise daily lab activities, manage technician schedules, and provide hands-on training for new hires during their 90-day training period.- Operational Excellence: Ensure all genomic testing and lab processes adhere to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and quality control standards.- Bilingual Liaison: Translate technical protocols and serve as the primary point of contact for technical discussions with the HQ engineering and science teams.- Inventory & Equipment: Oversee the procurement of lab supplies and ensure all equipment is regularly calibrated and maintained.- Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict adherence to lab safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Assist HR in maintaining safety training records.- Performance Management: Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide technical feedback to the team to ensure professional growth and lab efficiency.REQUIREMENTS- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or a related field.- 3+ years of experience in a laboratory setting, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity.- Full professional proficiency in Mandarin and English (required for technical reporting and HQ collaboration).- Deep understanding of genomic services, PCR, or sequencing technologies. Proficiency in LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) and Excel for data tracking.- Strong problem-solving abilities and the warmth to mentor a growing team.
