Job Title: Senior Data Architect (Contractor)Location: 100% RemoteJob Overview:We are seeking a results-oriented and visionary Senior Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of innovative data architectures. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of big data, cloud services, and AI technologies. The Senior Data Architect will play a key role in transforming business processes, optimizing data-driven solutions, and leading enterprise-scale cloud and data projects.Responsibilities:Design and develop Azure-based data solutions, including Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake, and Databricks.Lead SQL modernization and on-prem-to-cloud migrations, ensuring high availability and performance.Architect medallion data models (bronze, silver, gold tiers) and implement Data Mesh and Data Warehouse solutions in Azure.Automate CI/CD pipelines, data workflows, and infrastructure deployments using Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Optimize ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, and real-time data streaming solutions.Collaborate with business and engineering teams to define data strategies, best practices, and cloud governance policies.Ensure data security, compliance, and governance within the Azure ecosystem.Provide technical leadership and mentorship, conducting workshops on Azure data architecture and cloud modernization.Qualifications:6+ years of experience in Azure data architecture, cloud data engineering, and enterprise-scale data solutions.Expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, and SQL Managed Instances.Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT strategies, and cloud-based data storage solutions.Experience with SQL optimization, performance tuning, and database administration in Azure.Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).Ability to design scalable and secure cloud architectures for enterprise environments.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionInformation TechnologyIndustriesIT Services and IT Consulting #J-18808-Ljbffr
