This hands-on opportunity provides meaningful experience across strategic communications, public affairs, media engagement, and brand storytelling.Interns are embedded on a specific team and contribute to active client work across industries including technology, real estate, consumer, sports, arts and culture, philanthropy, and public affairs. You will support both long-term initiatives and day-to-day projects, developing skills in writing, research, media relations, and client service within a fast-paced agency environment.Interns participate in internal meetings, client calls, and events, gaining exposure to how integrated communications strategies are developed and executed.Duration: May 26, 2026 - August 21, 2026Location: Hybrid internship based in our New York, N.Y. or Washington, D.C. offices (minimum 3 days/week in-office)Compensation: Interns receive a standard rate of $18/hour.ACCOUNTABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONSAs an intern, you will...Support client accounts through research, media list development, and meeting preparationDraft and edit press materials, pitches, memos, social content, and reportsMonitor media coverage and industry trendsTrack deliverables and organize internal and client-facing materialsParticipate in team meetings and client callsCollaborate across teams on cross-functional projectsQualifications:Rising junior or senior, postgraduate student, or early-career professional with relevant interest or experienceStrong writing, research and analytical skillsDemonstrated interest in communications, media, policy, business, or cultureHighly organized and able to manage multiple deadlinesProfessional written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft OfficeDigital fluency and eagerness to learn new platformsCOMMUNICATIONS INTERNSHIPS TRACKS Interns are placed within one primary team, with opportunities to collaborate across the firm.Industry TeamsReal Estate & Hospitality: Integrated campaigns across commercial real estate, affordable housing, travel, tourism, and food & beverage.Arts & Culture: Strategic communications for institutions shaping cities through arts, architecture, urban design, and education.Sports Business: Advisory and communications support for teams, leagues, brands, and investors at the intersection of sports, media, and culture.Consumer: Strategic narrative development for lifestyle, fashion, beauty, and wellness brands.Technology: Representation of startups, investors, and global technology leaders across climate tech, fintech, consumer tech, and urban innovation.Gaming: Communications strategy for B2B and B2C brands in gaming, interactive media, and emerging technologies.Philanthropy & Impact: Strategic communications for philanthropies, advocacy organizations, and nonprofits driving awareness and action.Public Affairs & Policy: Strategic counsel in complex political and regulatory environments, including policy communications and investigative research.Legal Affairs & Crisis Communications: Support for clients managing litigation, reputational challenges, and major legal milestones.Cross-Industry Capability TeamsInfluencer & Creator Strategy: Building and managing creator partnerships to drive authentic engagement and cultural relevance.Channel Strategy & Content: Develops and executes content across owned and digital channels, including websites, newsletters, executive platforms, and social media.Creative & Design: Conceptualizing and producing visual and multimedia assets that bring strategy to life across formats and platforms.For internship opportunities in business operations and strategy, please apply to our Corporate internship program.HOW TO APPLYTo be considered, please submit the following materials as PDFs:Resume (1-2 pages): Highlight relevant professional, academic, volunteer, or extracurricular experience.Cover letter (500 words or less): Tell us why you are interested in Orchestra's Communications Internship Program, how your skills and experiences prepare you to contribute, and which team(s) you are most interested in joining.Application deadline: Applications must be submitted by March 15, 2026 to be considered.
