Service Dispatcher

Position SummaryThe position of Service Coordinator/Dispatcher is established to direct, plan, organize and control activities in the Planned Maintenance Service Department and to ensure the productive, efficient and safe activities of field services. Work well in a team oriented environment. Maintain professional composure, attitude, and appearance at all times. Participate in afterhours ER dispatches. Follow all company standards and procedures as currently documented. Focus on making every work hour a profitable hour for the company. Provide an excellent example of customer service on all levels for the company. Manage & direct service coordinators/dispatchers for effective dispatching. Manage field resources and assign service, callouts, repair and Startup work based on skill set. Manage work flow of all service requests. Mentor Our Technicians on all aspects of their position. Review and manage the service request backlog as needed to ensure all requests are correctly prioritized, scheduled and moved through the system efficiently. Must be capable of giving technical assistance to technicians assigned in their respective territory. Review, revise the proposed invoices for service rendered. Ability to communicate effectively with upper management or supervisor all aspects and conditions. Must be capable of excellent communications on a daily basis with parts department, sales department and administrative personnel. Must be capable of expressing in detail, concerns regarding schedule conflicts to prevent inadvertent problems arising during performance of services. Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
