Go Career Choice seeks passionate CDL Class A Drivers with 6 months to a year of tractor-trailer driving experience to haul general freight. (Please read the description to make sure we are a great fit for you) Location: MUST LIVE WITHIN 75 MILES OF NASHVILLE, TN TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION. Comfortable Work Environment: NO TOUCH FREIGHT/DROP-HOOK Flexible Driving Routes: Choose your own driving schedule from 3-4 days, 5-7 days, or 10-14 days. 2-3 Days Off Bonus Pay: Receive quarterly bonus pay for longer routes. Responsibilities: Operate Safely: Safely drive a (Dry Van) tractor-trailer truck to transport general freight on designated routes. Timely Deliveries: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards. Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, checking mechanical and safety equipment. Maintain Logs: Keep electronic logs and records of driving activities in compliance with DOT regulations. Effective Communication: Coordinate delivery schedules and routes with dispatchers and the logistics team. Documentation Handling: Accurately manage bills of lading and delivery receipts. Hiring Requirements: Age: Must be at least 21 years old. CDL: Hold a current and valid Class A CDL or have 30 days remaining on the current CDL. DOT Physical: Have a valid DOT physical with at least 30 days remaining on the medical card. Pre-Employment Screen: Pass a DOT pre-employment screen and all orientation training requirements. Road Test: Successfully complete the road test. FMCSA Compliance: No FMCSA drug or alcohol violations in the last 5 years. Violations older than 5 years will require review. Driver Work History Guidelines: Recent Experience: 6 months or more of verified experience in the previous year, or Past Experience: 12 months of verified experience in the last 3 years, or Extended Experience: 3 or more years of verified experience in the last 10 years. CMV Operation: Experience operating a combination CMV with a minimum 40-foot trailer. Verifiable Experience: Must be as a local, regional, or OTR driver. Driving school or private road experience is not accepted. Military experience must be verified. Job Stability: No more than 6 driving jobs in the last 3 years.
