The PositionJoin a highly-respected, national law firm as a Litigation Paralegal supporting complex matters alongside a collaborative San Diego–based team. This role is ideal for an experienced paralegal seeking substantive work, long-term stability, and professional growth.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with attorneys and litigation teamsObtain medical records via authorizations and subpoenas; follow up with providersOrganize discovery, case databases, and records chartsIssue Open Public Records Requests and conduct background researchReview, analyze, and summarize medical records and treatment chronologiesSupport depositions and discovery (transcript summaries, document tracking, follow-ups)Manage document productions from opposing parties and co-defendantsPrepare materials for expert witness reviewMaintain well-organized, accessible case filesPrepare cases for and assist with trialsQualificationsParalegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program or an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies required3+ years of litigation paralegal experience (insurance defense preferred)Law firm billing experience and understanding of billing practicesStrong written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple casesExperience drafting subpoenas and tracking incoming recordsComfortable with legal research tools and case management softwareThe ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentProfessional GrowthThis role offers meaningful professional growth through expanded responsibility, skill development, and performance-based compensation progression.Why You’ll Love Working HereParalegals are respected, trusted contributorsYou’ll engage in substantive litigation work that impacts case outcomesWe have a supportive, collaborative, team cultureFirm-sponsored wellness program with optional monthly webinarsStability and resources of a national law firm A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
