Associate Attorney - Commercial LitigationPosition OverviewWe are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our commercial litigation team. The successful candidate will manage complex commercial disputes from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings and motions, conducting legal research, handling document review and discovery, taking and defending depositions, and representing clients in hearings. This role requires strong analytical and writing skills, practical courtroom experience, and the ability to work collaboratively on fast-paced matters.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of commercial litigation matters, including case assessment, strategy development, and trial preparationDraft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, settlement agreements, and other court documentsConduct comprehensive legal research and prepare memoranda on substantive and procedural issuesPerform document review and e-discovery tasks efficiently and accurately; manage document productionsTake and defend depositions and prepare witnesses for testimonyPrepare and respond to written discovery, including interrogatories and requests for productionAppear in court and administrative proceedings, including hearings, status conferences, and motion practiceCollaborate with partners, senior attorneys, and support staff to develop case strategy and meet deadlinesCommunicate clearly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnelSupervise and mentor junior associates, paralegals, and contract reviewers as neededQualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar admission in Oregon5+ years of commercial litigation experience at a law firm or in-house litigation team (varies by level)Demonstrated experience in document review, discovery practice, and e-discovery platformsStrong litigation skills, including drafting pleadings and motions, conducting depositions, and courtroom appearancesExcellent legal research and persuasive writing skillsProven ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentFamiliarity with commercial litigation subjects such as contract disputes, business torts, shareholder and partnership disputes, and breach of fiduciary dutyHigh professional and ethical standards, strong attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skillsWillingness to travel for depositions, mediations, and court appearances when necessaryBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision coverage401k plan with employer contributionLong term disabilityLife and AD&D insuranceEmployee assistance planPaid time offPaid holidaysPaid parental leave Email Your Resume In Word ToKelianne.Leong@CyberCoders.comLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
