Android Device Deployment & Testing Technician

*Job Overview* We are seeking a hands-on technician to install, configure, and test our existing software on Android tablets and mobile devices. Our software is already developed. This position is focused on deploying it to physical devices, confirming that it works correctly, and preparing devices for use. This is not primarily an app-development or app-store publishing position. *Responsibilities* * Install and configure our software on Android tablets and mobile devices * Load Android application packages directly onto devices * Configure device permissions, Wi-Fi, microphones, and other required settings * Test that the application displays correctly on different screen sizes * Confirm that buttons, forms, and navigation work properly * Test microphone access and voice recording * Verify that recorded data is securely transmitted to our AWS backend * Confirm that results are received and displayed correctly on the device * Identify, document, and help troubleshoot installation or device-related problems * Create a repeatable installation and configuration process * Prepare multiple devices efficiently and consistently * Maintain installation and testing records *Required Qualifications* * Experience installing and configuring software on Android tablets or phones * Familiarity with APK installation, Android permissions, and device settings * Experience testing web-based or React or React-native applications on Android devices * Ability to troubleshoot Wi-Fi, microphone, browser, application, and connectivity issues * Careful attention to detail * Ability to follow written technical instructions and document results * Comfortable handling and configuring multiple physical devices *Preferred Qualifications* * Experience with React Native applications * Experience with Android Debug Bridge (ADB) * Experience with device provisioning, kiosk mode, mobile device management, or large-device deployments * Familiarity with AWS-connected applications or API testing * Experience developing scripts or procedures for automated device setup * Experience performing quality-assurance testing on tablets or mobile devices *Important* The primary responsibility is installing, configuring, and testing existing software on company-provided hardware. This position does not require developing the complete application or publishing it through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
