Semiconductor Manufacturing Engineer - NPI Process Optimizer

Semiconductor Manufacturing Engineer – Tester I UST is looking for a Semiconductor Manufacturing Engineer to develop and maintain manufacturing processes, workflows, and operation sequences for semiconductor equipment and sub-assemblies. Responsibilities Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by collaborating with design and engineering teams. Initiate and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs/ECRs) for product and process improvements. Estimate manufacturing costs, define cycle times, and recommend tooling and process enhancements. Apply DFx principles to improve yield, quality, and cost efficiency. Develop and execute test procedures; support test specifications in collaboration with test/software engineering. Other relevant essential functions may be required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field. Experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing, cleanroom, or high‑tech assembly environments preferred. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, test methodologies, and process optimization. Hands‑on experience with data analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Familiarity with DFx, PFMEA, and quality methodologies. Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, high‑tech environment. Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills. Effective communication and stakeholder coordination. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Work Environment 100% onsite role in a semiconductor / cleanroom environment. Requires use of PPE (coveralls, gloves, safety glasses, etc.). Involves physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, and working with tools/equipment. Location Texas Compensation Salary range: $44,000 – $66,000 per year. Benefits Full‑time employees accrue at least 10 days of paid vacation per year, 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro‑rated for new hires), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
