Associate Attorney (Public Law/Government Advisory - Transactional)
A Houston law firm is seeking an attorney to join its practice representing special districts and local governmental entities. This role is especially well-suited for attorneys with experience in city, county, or state government who are interested in transitioning to private practice while continuing to work on meaningful public sector matters—in a 100% transactional, non-litigation role.In this role, you will serve as outside general counsel to multiple special districts, advising on a wide range of day-to-day public law issues. A significant portion of the work involves reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, along with providing practical legal guidance to boards, staff, and stakeholders.
