Maintenance
MaintenanceEnsures that the company facility is kept in good repair and working order.
Key responsibilities and tasks include:
Serving as electrician in repairing minor electrical malfunctions and installing new equipment.
Working as a plumber in assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and sewer systems, and in opening clogged drains.
Acting as a carpenter in the alteration, repair, and maintenance of buildings, floors, roofs, stairways, partitions, doors, windows, screens, scaffolding forms, wood fixtures, and furniture.
Operating hand saw, planer, joiner, shaper, table saw, wood lathe, drill press, sanding machine, router, and electric drill.
Maintaining tools and machinery in good condition and using all tools carefully and as instructed.
Performing minor repairs to air conditioning system as required, and seeing to general maintenance of system.
Performing such other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications include:
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the field of general repairs, including at least one year's experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical repair, and air conditioning; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
May be required to hold a valid Motor Vehicle Operator's license or a commercial license.
Demonstrated ability to work with hands and to work in mechanically oriented situations following supervisor's instructions.
General knowledge of various types of equipment used in the building trades.
Ability to work with little or no supervision, given proper instructions.
Ability to follow instructions, given either orally or in writing.
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction, and air conditioning equipment.
Ability to read and write and to follow detailed written instructions.
Computer knowledge
Working knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems
