Job DescriptionOUR CORE PILLARS: Safety | Operational Excellence | Shareholder ValuePropulsion Controls Engineering has a current opening for a Driver; supporting our San Diego, CA location.Position SummaryA Driver Is responsible for delivery and pickup of supplies, equipment to/from job site, shop or vendor's facility. Assist in vehicle maintenance and repairs. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesConducts vehicle inspection for safety discrepancies or damage, complete timely report of new discrepancies.Responsible for delivery and pickup of supplies, equipment to/from job site, shop or vendor's facilityEnsure safety and security of transported loads, equipment, supplies.Performs simple maintenance, such as filling fuel tank, cleaning interior and exterior.Obeys all traffic laws and safety regulations.Demonstrates ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with corporate policies, goals and objectives, accept constructive feedback, establish goals and objectives, and exhibit initiative and commitment.Other duties as assigned, requested or needed.Position RequirementsEducation and Experience:High school diploma or GED equivalent education and experience.Valid state driver's license (with clean driving record) and knowledge of local driving area.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:General knowledge of hand and power tools, fasteners and fittings.Possess mechanical aptitude.Ability to communicate with others.BenefitsHealth Insurance (medical, dental, vision, company paid life insurance, voluntary plans such as supplemental life insurance, critical illness, and hospital indemnity) Paid Time OffCompany paid holidaysRetirement savings plan (401(k) plan with company matching and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan) Career development opportunitiesThis position may require access to U.S. government or military sites.
