Mechanical Piping Designer
Are you the kind of designer who can look at a blank screen (or a pile of pipe) and instantly see the system it could become? Do you love turning complex challenges into clean, manufacturable, field‑ready solutions? If you’re energized by hands‑on engineering, cross‑team collaboration, and designing systems that actually get built — not just filed away — we want you on our team. We’re looking for a Mechanical Piping Designer who’s ready to take the lead on designing fusible thermoplastic piping systems and custom mechanical assemblies for industrial, municipal, energy, and mission‑critical applications. This is a role where your creativity meets real‑world impact. What You’ll DoYou’ll be at the center of our design and production process — creating, refining, and supporting piping systems from concept to installation. In this role, you will:Build detailed 3D models, piping layouts, and fabrication fixtures for fusible piping systemsDesign custom assemblies including manifolds, skids, transitions, supports, and moreApply industry standards (ASME, ASTM, ISO) to ensure safe, reliable, compliant designsProduce manufacturing drawings, BOMs, cut lists, and installation documentationTranslate customer and site requirements into practical, buildable solutionsPartner with manufacturing to optimize designs for fabrication and assemblySelect valves, fittings, and system components based on performance and code requirementsSupport projects from concept through production alongside engineering, PMs, and salesParticipate in prototype builds, troubleshoot production issues, and drive continuous improvementHelp standardize design practices and templatesProvide technical support during field installationsBring a friendly, service‑oriented mindset to every interactionPromote safety and good housekeeping — alwaysIf you like variety, you’ll love this role.
