This role is pivotal in supporting the growth of our video content pipeline across multiple digital platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for editing both short-form and long-form videos for advertisements, social media campaigns, tutorials, and brand storytelling initiatives. Collaborating closely with content managers, writers, designers, and videographers, the Video Editor will help bring innovative concepts to life while ensuring alignment with Sunco’s brand standards and performance objectives.The successful candidate will have a keen eye for visual storytelling, a strong technical background, and the ability to adapt content for various digital channels. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced environment, enhance brand visibility, and engage audiences through compelling video content that drives business growth.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in film production, media, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Proven experience as a video editor with a strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating proficiency in digital content editing, especially for advertising and social media platforms.Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with experience in 2D motion graphics.Experience editing content from product footage, lifestyle shoots, user-generated content (UGC), and screen recordings.Strong understanding of pacing, visual storytelling, composition, and motion design principles.Basic knowledge of sound design, including sound effects, dialogue cleanup, music selection, and audio mixing.Experience tailoring content for social media and marketplace platforms, particularly short-form formats.Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a remote, multicultural team environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Professional working proficiency in English, both written and spoken.Willingness to work hours overlapping with 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Pacific Time.Reliable internet connection and a private remote workstation.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with content managers, writers, designers, and videographers to develop video concepts, edit plans, and basic storyboards.Edit short-form and long-form videos for advertisements, social media promotions, tutorials, and brand storytelling, utilizing Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar tools.Create platform-native edits optimized for Amazon, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Vimeo, and other channels—adjusting format, length, hooks, and calls to action accordingly.Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, tone, and visual style across all video content.Add graphics, subtitles, simple motion design, and basic animations to enhance clarity and viewer engagement.Perform basic color correction and audio cleanup, including music, sound effects, and voice balancing, adhering to licensing and brand guidelines.Optimize video files, thumbnails, titles, and metadata for search engine optimization (SEO) and discoverability.Stay informed about industry trends, creator best practices, and competitor content; propose new formats or creative strategies.Organize and maintain video assets, project files, and exports for efficient collaboration and reuse.Incorporate stakeholder and partner feedback while maintaining quality standards and meeting project deadlines.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, communicating progress and potential risks effectively.Partner with external videographers or agencies as needed, providing clear briefs and edit requirements.Support other video and content-related tasks to contribute to team objectives.Attend scheduled meetings and work hours that overlap significantly with Pacific Time, supporting team collaboration.BenefitsCompetitive hourly rate ranging from $6 to $15 per hour, based on experience and region.Opportunity to work remotely with flexible hours aligned with Pacific Time.Be part of a growing company with a collaborative and innovative culture.Engage in diverse projects across multiple digital platforms, enhancing your professional portfolio.Access to a dynamic team environment that values creativity, quality, and continuous learning.Potential for career growth within a rapidly expanding organization.Equal OpportunitySunco Lighting Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
