General Purpose of Position:A cook is responsible for preparation, cooking and plating of Chicken Fingerz, Buffalo Wings, Zalads, Sandwiches, Zappatizers, Kidz Meals and side items per Zaxby's standards, processing orders quickly, accurately and efficiently.Tasks and Responsibilities:Smile, have a pleasant demeanor and always treat customers and coworkers like you would like to be treated. Fully accept diversity in age, race, sex, national origin, lifestyle, challenges, thinking, opinions and ideas.Ensure that each customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, and sold product knowledge.Maintain an awareness of all promotions and advertisements.Accurately and efficiently prepare all orders to customer's request.Clean and maintain food preparation areas including cooking surfaces, utensils, and refrigeration equipment.Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards as required by local Health Dept, and Zaxby's standards.Measure ingredients as required.Operate large volume cooking equipment such as grills and fryers.Read monitors or receive verbal instructions as to food requires by patrons, and prepare and cook food according to instructions.Be able to multitask preparing multiple orders at once.Verify that food prepared meets requirement s for quality and quantity.Clean, stock and restock work stations as needed.Any other tasks assigned from time to time by any manager.Skills and Competencies:Ability to process information/merchandise through Micros monitors• Ability to communicate with other BOH & FOH staff, managers and customers.• Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all procedures.• Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job.Requirements:Maintain physical condition necessary for standing, walking and lifting for prolonged periods of time.Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.Disclaimer:
