Job DescriptionDescription:PACKING ASSISTANT PackingMajor FunctionBagging and boxing bread according to packing description.Position LevelsEntry Level: Typically one year of less experience.Job Level: Employee demonstrates competence in performance of all aspects of the position.Specific DutiesFrom the packing list, determine the correct packing specifications for each product. Recognize and discard out-of-specification breads. Bag and box breads according to specification. Run filled boxes through tape machine. Keep area cleanKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to maintain rhythm of packingAbility to judge “on spec” vs “off spec” bread. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices. Work Safely. Shift available are:B shift 2pm to 10pm Monday to Saturday and some SundaysC shift 10pm to 6am Monday to Saturday and some Sundays$12hr plus $1 shift differentialRequirements:Physical mobility: movement from place to place on the job considers distance and speed. Physical agility: Ability to maneuver body while in place. Physical strength: to handle routine materials and tools. Handle 50lbs objects considering frequency. Physical balance: ability to maintain balance and physical control. Coordination: eye/hand hand/foot etc... Dexterity of hands, fingers and feet. Repetitive Motion: bending, lifting, turning, and use of hand motions.
