ABX MGR MAINTENANCE CONTROL

SUMMARY: The Manager of Maintenance Control will manage the Maintenance Control Department, ensuring a high level of aircraft dispatch reliability and ABX system integrity. This role will coordinate with maintenance executive staff for reporting and incident procedures. This role also requires the ability to travel.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide overall direction, communication, and control for the maintenance/engineering division for all out-of-service aircraft, accidents/incidents, maintenance delays/cancellations, returns/diversions due to mechanical issues, and other maintenance irregularitiesNotify maintenance executive staff and prepare reports for all irregularities/accidents/incidentsAuthorize deferral of inoperative aircraft equipment in accordance with FAA MEL/CDL requirementsresponsible for ensuring the airworthiness and safe operation of all ABX aircraft systemwideSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This role oversees the Maintenance Control Department and controls the maintenance/engineering divisionREQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma/GEDA & P licenseEight (8) years experience in the maintenance of heavy transport aircraft of which 2 years were as a maintenance controller or supervisor in a line maintenance environmentStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsVery good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsFamiliarity with ABX network, Word, Excel, FocusComprehensive knowledge of Maintenance Control aircraft systems and ABX operationsWorking knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations and ABX Maintenance Control procedures and processesAbility to travelPREFERRED:Prefer ABX Maintenance Control or ABX Line Maintenance Management experience3 years experience on type aircraft operated by ABX
