Overview We are seeking an experienced customer facing Computer Repair Technician with over 5 years of hands-on expertise in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of electronic devices. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a thorough understanding of various operating systems, and the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing technical support and repair services for our B2B clients (Note we do not actively sell to consumers). Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in working with computer hardware and resolving client hardware concerns over email and phone (rarely face to face). Duties Diagnose and repair computer hardware (laptops, desktops, servers, monitors and related accessories) across multiple platforms, vast majority are Windows 11 Pro based PCs. Communicate with clients on repair progress and return shipping. You are the company’s repair/RMA liaison and thus your interaction and repair skills are critical for client retention. Handle all duties related to the client RMA process. Perform soldering and use employer-provided tools to repair or replace damaged circuit boards and electronic components. Troubleshoot software issues related to operating systems, applications, and device drivers. Analyze schematics and technical documentation to accurately identify faults and implement solutions. Provide technical support to customers over email and over the phone, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Utilize equipment repair techniques to restore devices to optimal working condition efficiently. Follow safety protocols during repairs, especially when handling sensitive electronic components or performing soldering tasks. Qualifications Minimum of 5+ years of experience in computer repair or related technical roles. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in dealing with clients. Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems. Proficiency with soldering techniques, hand tools, and electronic schematics. Experience troubleshooting software issues using diagnostic tools and analysis skills. Demonstrated ability to repair various types of computer hardware and mobile devices efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments such as retail or field service settings. Strong communication skills for providing clear technical support to customers.
