The individual should enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and possess the communication skills necessary to coordinate with staff and other design disciplines. This person will work with staff on various transportation improvement projects including interstate/interchanges, roadway widening, bridge replacements, and new location projects.Duties:Collecting and analyzing project dataLeading or assisting in the design and development of roadway plans, specifications, design calculations, and technical documentsCalculating quantities and developing cost estimatesProducing a complete plan setWorking with other design disciplinesExcellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills Effective communication skills, both verbal and writtenMinimum Qualifications:BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university0 - 2 years of experience in the field of civil engineeringPrevious internships with civil engineering firms are a plusFamiliarity with MicroStation, GEOPAK/Corridor Modeling, and OpenRoads DesignerKnowledge of AASHTO and NCDOT roadway design guidelines, standards and specifications is a plusNCDOT highway design experience is a plusBenefits package includes:Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance with low premiums401(k)HSA with generous company contributionCompany paid short-term disabilityCompany paid long-term disabilityCompany paid life insuranceVacation leaveSick leaveHolidaysEstablished in 2013, Parrish & Partners is a recognized SC Best Place to Work and NC Best Employer.
